Who can apply?Pregnant women 18 and older that currently have no stable living environment and have no drug or alcohol dependency.

How long does the application process take?From initial inquiry via email or phone, followed by phone interview and assessment, it normally takes approximately 7-10 business days.

Where will I be living?You'll be living in a shared residential space in Monroe, Michigan. Each resident has their own, private bedroom.

How long can I stay?Our residency program is 12 months.

What are the costs to stay at Selah's?Selah offers housing, free of charge, along with essential materials to support your parenting journey, such as diapers (up to size 3), wipes, household items, and supplies. They also provide access to donation centers, community services and resources, bus fares, and some additional transportation options.

Do I have to work or go to school while in the program?Our program requires each resident to choose a Pathway while they’re in our program. This helps our residents focus their attention and energy on emotional healing, career development or education, along with embracing motherhood and learning to live in community. Each resident will have weekly mentorship and case management.

If I have other children, are they allowed to live at Selah's?Selah’s residency program is available to women who are parenting or have visitation rights to one additional child, but this is open on a case-by-case basis.

Am I allowed to see the father of my baby, friends, and family?We ask each new resident to take the first 30 days to adjust to their new environment and our programming before visiting family and friends. Residents have access to the internet and are able to bring their personal phones and electronics for communication as well.
