WHO WE ARE
Selah’s staff, board of directors, and volunteers are guided by these core values and principles on a daily basis.
Our Core Values
We believe that the gift of motherhood is precious in the sight of God and worth fighting for.
We are convinced that offering women in our community access to prenatal and postpartum care through our residential program is instrumental in dispelling the apprehension and stress often associated with childbirth, motherhood, and parenting.
We believe Selah’s mentorship and maternity home programming increases a woman’s capacity to overcome obstacles and adversity such as abuse, generational poverty, addiction, homelessness and depression by providing a loving, supportive and safe home environment.
We believe our faith-based, family centric programs and activities, help foster growth and empower our residents as individuals and parents to set, meet and maintain their goals.
We believe a unified and dedicated team of staff and volunteers who upholds biblical, social and practical programming is an essential component to ensuring our residents parent independently and sustainably upon graduation.
We believe prayer, community support, and continued case management are key components that help bridge the gaps our residents experience upon graduation of Selah’s with access to extended care services.

Our Mission
Monroe's maternity home offers hope and support to expectant mothers. We provide housing and meet physical needs, while also offering services to nurture their emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being, helping them move towards independent living.
Our Vision
Every mother's journey is unique. At Selah's, we support each resident individually, helping them achieve their personal goals in motherhood. Our aim is to promote long-term economic independence and stability for the expectant mothers we serve.
