So many exciting things have happened here at Selah's Center of Hope these last few months:
We have published two newsletters and would love for you to take a look. See the links below!
We were also so blessed to have worked with The Monroe News, and they published this beautiful article about Selah's Center of Hope and our mission. Here's a link to the article: Monroe News
Yes!! You heard that right!
Selah's Center of Hope has secured our first home!!!! To say that God is SOOO good would be an understatement!
2020 Wrap Up!
As we put a close to 2020 we want to thank everyone who has supported us with volunteer hours, prayers, material donations, and monetary donations. Since we opened our doors in April, we have been blessed to house six women and 5 infants in our maternity home. In our center we have been able to provide 513 life skills courses, serving a total of 119 clients.
Our 2021 Theme is Courage
If there was one word to describe the women in our Maternity Home it would be COURAGEOUS. If there was one word to describe the single parents we see in our center it would be COURAGEOUS.
Our staff and volunteers are honored to work with these courageous members of our community every day. Our clients have inspired us to be bold and courageous in our mission as we enter into 2021 with dedication and faithfulness.
"Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."
As we proceed through 2021 we pray for God's wisdom and discernment to be upon us all who are carrying out this mission and walking with our clients step by step towards self-sufficiency and growth inside and out.
Selah's Center of Hope leaders are looking forward to building upon their current relationships and creating new ones. We strive every day to be good stewards of what the community and our good Lord has given us while remaining faithful and accountable to God and the people we serve.
We will continue to grow our culture of a servant's heart and make sacrifices for the good of the people we lead. Our motivation is solely to serve others. We strive to have the courage to move forward in our service and in the love of Christ.
"Take care that you do not despise one of these little ones; for I tell you, in heaven their angels continually see the face of my Father in heaven".
We are so humble in anticipation to see what God will bring in this year. Won't you be in prayer with us?
